Tsunamis

Picture
Tsunamis are caused by a jolt in the ocean floor by an earthquake, volcanic eruption or a landslide. The waves are unnoticed until a rise in the ocean floor near a coastline acts as a break and forces the water up. These towering walls of water can crash onto land and cause extensive damage and loss of life.
